1. Research the Industry
- Who do you admire and respect; try to assist them!
- Be patient, persistent, and professional.
- Be open to learning, team work and communication.
2. Diversify your skills
- Make sure your salon accommodates the erratic schedule.
- Try to work in a flexible and supportive salon until your session work grows, it can be a long transition.
- Always share your new knowledge with the salon so that way everyone is a winner.
3. Be Passionate
- Make yourself available.
- Be aware not all work is paid.
- Join the show circuit for experience.
