This year’s showcase included Nicholas French, X Factor’s very own Adam Reed and the very eccentric Patrick Cameron. Also showcasing was ‘The Crew’, led by the multi-award winning Chris Appleton and supported by New Zealand talent Stephen Cockle and 2009’s F.A.M.E team’s Kathryn Dartnell, who put together an array of styles throughout the three days.
The launch of our new Ferrari dryer ‘Volare’ left us inundated with queries about the range (not to mention the attention given to the Ferrari girls at the show!) And we are now taking back orders for those wanting a little piece of Ferrari.
Volume and texture were the theme to the show with all stylists creating ‘big’ looks, from glamorous to tribal.
Adam Reed’s ‘tribal’ collection was an inspiration from the Marios Schwab show at London Fashion week. The soft lines and use of texture created great volume to the models styles. Fishtail plaits threaded with metal were a key feature, which can also be seen on some of the contestants currently competing on The X Factor.
‘The Crew’ gave an in-depth step by step guide to styles straight from the catwalk. The use of mini crimpers and twin barrel stylers shaped the hair into candy floss curls.
Nicholas French showcased a more ‘Avante Garde’ collection. A mixture of sleek styles and wild texture were constructed on the catwalk.
The eagerly awaited Patrick Cameron took to the stage, with our Style awards winner Carol-Ann on hand to assist. His collection; ‘Ultra Violet’ was all about big glamour. Never one to miss a chance to entertain, he finished with a flourish; dancing alongside his models for his audience to rapturous applause.
Throughout the weekend, the Gold Fish bowl proved a hit with the audience, who were given the chance to see the various teams' creative talents.
Not to be outdone by Patrick Cameron, 'The Crew' also gave everyone a little 'show' of their own in the goldfish bowl. For all the video highlights, go to our new YouTube channel. Further images can also be found on our Facebook page. Have a look and give us your feedback. We'd love to hear your thoughts.
All in all, a fantastic weekend had by the team. We hope you enjoy them as much as we did making them. See you next year :)
