Preparation. Remove the lid and place the pot into your Satin Smooth heater, turn the dial onto 10 and heat the wax for approximately 15 minutes until it has a thin consistency.
Turn the heater down to around 5 and allow it to stablise for around 20 minutes so that you have the perfect working temperature. Mix thoroughly and test the temperature on the inside of your own wrist. Before waxing, complete a client consultation and check over the area carefully for cuts, grazes or irregularities and note the direction of the growth.

Protect the clients clothing with tissues. Apply Calm and Prepare lotion. This has extracts of pink grapefruit, mandarin & lime, which have excellent antiseptic properties. This product will cleanse, cool and calm the skin. Wipe over with a cotton wool pad to remove the Calm & Prepare along with traces of oil, persiration and bacteria. This will ensure the perfect conditions for effective waxing.

Dip a wooden spatula 1/3 way into the wax and scrape off all the wax from one side (to aid application and prevent dripping), keeping the spatula at a 45 degree angle, apply the wax in a thin layer with the direction of the hair growth. Underarm hair grwoth can be varied in direction, wax in small areas if necessary to follow the hair direction. Remember apply with and remove against hair growth.

Place a fabric or paper strip over the area leaving a 2" gap to hold. Smooth down gently, but firmly, then using a quick, firm action pull off in the opposite direction of application.

Immediately "pat" the skin to confuse the nerve ending and comfort the skin and client. You only need to gently place your hand on the area for a few seconds.

Apply Comfort and Restore Lotion. This product has been especially formulated for the sensitive bikini line, underarm and facial area. It is a concentrated gel type, silky lotion that is easily absorbed and non greasy. It contains a soothing restorative complex including witch hazel, allantoin and arnica blended with multi-vitamin complexs, Bisabolol, Collagen and mucopolysaccharides. It has an immediate cooling sensation, reducing redness and will leave the skin feeling comfortabel, cool and refreshed. 
It should be recommended for home use and is also sold in a 100ml size for this purpose.
Due to the delicate neature of these areas it is essential to follow home care in-between salon visits - regular use will reduce ingrowing hairs and improve the quality of the skin. 
At the end of each day, clean your heater and surrounding area with Spring Clean. This is an effective yet gentle solvent formulated to remove wax from your heater and surfaces without damaage. Always patch test on an unconspicuous place on work surface or wood finishes before use.
